After declaring, "This is the beginning of the end for Sony," hacker group LulzSec carried out an attack last week on Sony Pictures. Word has surfaced today that it has now hacked Sony once again, this time targeting Sony's music company, Sony BMG.
Reuters reports that LulzSec has allegedly published network maps for Sony BMC's New York City office along with 54MB of developer source code. Responding to the claims, Sony Pictures' Jim Kennedy said, "We are looking into these claims."
If true, this would be the latest in a long line of attacks, the most significant of which was the PlayStation Network breach that saw many millions of users' data leaked and caused the service to be shut down for several weeks.
Many believe the attacks directed at Sony are related to its lawsuit against hacker George Hotz, who was partially responsible for discovering the PlayStation 3's root key. The case has since been settled, but the damage may have already been done as far as hackers are concerned.
