Pokemon's First 3DS Game Gets a Promo Video

A sequel to WiiWare title Pokemon Rumble was announced for 3DS not long ago, and Nintendo has now released a fairly lengthy promotional video in Japan showing off several minutes of gameplay from the upcoming action title.

Super Pokemon Scramble, as it's known in Japan (it'll presumably take on the name Super Pokemon Rumble if and when it's brought to North America to match its predecessor), looks to feature the same sort of button-mashing, melee-based combat that the original WiiWare title was comprised of.

Pokemon Rumble was criticized for its repetition and $15 price tag, which was thought to be too high. If Super Scramble doesn't prove to have enough new content, the latter may be an issue again as it's planned as a full retail release for 3DS and will cost 4,800 yen ($59) when it comes out on July 28.

A North American version has yet to be confirmed.

The release of Pokemon Rumble in North America came five months after the Japanese one. If Super Scramble is being brought overseas, there might be a larger gap since that was a digital release versus Scramble coming exclusively to retail.
