It's almost time to dust off those PS Move wands. Sony has nailed down a release date for Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, pegging October 18th as the day Insomniac's tent pole franchise returns to the PS3.
In addition to a drop date, Sony revealed the game's official box art (right), as well as a list of special in-game items that will be available as pre-order bonuses from various retailers. They include Mr. Zurkon, the (other) helpful sidekick robot from previous titles, from GameStop; a T-Rex Morph Mod from Amazon, which turns enemies into cutesy baby dinosaurs; a Pyro Blaster Unlock from Best Buy, which is designed to fry the living crap out of baddies; and the Sheepinator Mod from Wal-Mart, whichoperatessimilar to theT-Rex Morph Mod, only with sheep.
Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One is a 4-player co-op game starring Ratchet, Clank, Quark and Dr. Nefarious. It picks up after Crack In Time, and finds the foursome teaming up to escape Planet Magnus after they are taken there to be kept as play things by the game's main villain, Ephemeris the Creature Collector.
Last month, Insomniac invited GR to try out their new take on the Ratchet & Clank series. Read our impressionshere, and check out this early gameplay footage:
