?ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection? Bonus Content Sneak Peek

ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection Bonus Content
This fall season not only will we be overwhelmed by an insane number of triple-A tittles, but we?ll also get our fair share of HD remakes. One of them being the ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection due out next week.

Today we have some behind-the-scenes footage of what people can expect when they pick up this PS3 exclusive collection.

ICO and Shadow of the Colossus provided some of the most memorable gaming experiences of the PS2 era. Not only did they push the boundaries of the console in terms of visuals they also delivered epic stories with very little dialogue. These two titles have inspired many developers in the gaming industry and influenced some of today?s biggest titles including Uncharted 3.

This HD collection will come with a lot of bonus content including interviews with the the developers. In these interviews the team discusses what influenced their decisions when making the two memorable games. We also learn that Shadow of the Colossus originally started out as an online multiplayer title, similar to the popular Monster Hunter franchise. Just imagine taking down a Colossi with a bunch of friends.

Check the video below.

Team ICO is focused on creating quality single-player experiences but this doesn?t mean they couldn?t bring that same experience into the multiplayer arena, some time in the future. No doubt they could give Monster Hunter a run for its money.

The bonus content of this collection includes a 20 minute discussion with the main designers behind all three of Team ICO?s titles. Though, the majority of the content is concept art and early design ideas.

However, when gamers pick up this HD collection they?ll also get to see some never-before-seen footage of The Last Guardian. A game that?s highly anticipated by fans of Team ICO and will push the PS3 to its limits according to Fumito Ueda.

The ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection is launches next week on September 27th, exclusively for the PS3.
