TGS: Next Ys Game Debuting on Vita

Just about a year after Ys Seven hit the States, Falcom (which is enjoying very good times as of late) has revealed the newest title in their most well-known of action RPG franchises. The game, called Ys: Celceta no Jukai in Japanese, made its debut today in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine.

Details are still a little scant on the game, although screenshots printed in Famitsu confirm that the game will use the same multi-character party system that debuted in Ys Seven. The "Celceta" of the title was also one of the main settings for Ys IV, released for the PC Engine and Super NES in Japan back in 1993, suggesting a link back to previous events in the series.

The Vita title is due out sometime next year in Japan.
