As of this writing, 1UP's Gameathon is approaching the 12-hour mark. We've played the likes of Rez, Gitaroo Man, Burgertime, and Gallop Racer 2003: A New Breed. (Yeah.) We'll be continuing to play games until Friday at 10am Pacific, so be sure to tune in between now and then to take part. Of course, the entire point of this is to raise money for Red Cross and the relief efforts in Japan, so if you can spare any money, please donate and spread the word.

GameStop has launched a Facebook store through which it will begin selling games to customers. "Social commerce on Facebook is a natural complement to our trusted store and online networks," said GameStop's Kelly Mulroney. "We have millions of customers already engaging with us on Facebook, and ShopFans gives those loyal fans more reasons than ever to shop GameStop across multiple channels." The press release claims, "The showcase store is set to usher in a new era of Facebook store development by top retailers which utilize the most cutting edge technologies available, enabling social shopping experiences to support the rapid growth of Facebook commerce."
Disgaea 4 Coming in September; Fans to Name In-Game Elements
NIS America has announced that the PS3's Disgaea 4 will be out in the United States this September. (It'll be followed by a release in Europe sometime this fall.) NIS is also giving fans the opportunity to name various elements of the game, including an in-game character, weapon, and a special skill. More details on the 'Dis-name-a' contest can be found on the game's official website.
Steel Rain DLC for Killzone 3 Dated, Free for Some
The previously announced Steel Rain downloadable content for Killzone 3 is coming next Tuesday, April 12. It includes two new maps for $4.99. Alternatively, those who subscribe to PlayStation Plus will be able to download the DLC for free between April 12 and May 10.

Splinter Cell Trilogy on PS3 is 3D-Enabled
If you've never played any of the first three Splinter Cell games before, the upcoming HD Trilogy set looks to be the best option for checking them out. There's still no release date for the collection, but once it's released, it'll include HD graphics and 3D support on PS3. The three games will be released as a bundle with all three games on Blu-ray or individually on the PlayStation Store.
